Privacy

Short version: we only collect what we need to help your business get work, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time. This policy follows the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you sign up for a trial: your name, business name, trade, region, email, mobile number and anything you tell us about the work you’re after. We also record which ad or link brought you to our site, and basic visit information (pages viewed) using a first-party cookie.

How we use it

To contact you about the trial, set up and run your advertising, and measure how well our own ads work. If you arrived from a Facebook or Instagram ad, we share a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email and phone number with Meta so it can tell us which ads led to signups. Meta can’t read the original details from that.

Texts and calls

We’ll only text or call you about your trial or account. Every text includes a way to opt out: reply STOP and we won’t text you again.

Where it’s stored

On secure cloud services we use to run the business, which may be located outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it to a comparable standard.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Just email kiaora@bookedmate.co.nz. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
